Film Clapboard

monthly challenge

January 2025

Beginnings:

The first word or words of a poem, the first few frames of a film, Aubade, the first egg cracked, welcome 2025. Yes folks the clue is in the question, as the saying goes. It is an easy prompt, right? Not so if you follow the brief fully, yes folks the phrase that now should be seared upon our minds, 'on't go through the front door!'  So what about an example nige? Ok, Aubade, a poem about sunrise................how about the end of night, instead? Still obvious? what about sunrise for someone who has no sight? As always, there ain't no wrong or right, and only the poet who wrote-it can judge its worth.

"While in my bed, adventure book in hand, I dread the tread upon the stairs that means the loss of light foreshadowing my dreams."
