Words, are so easy to say
They can be used in anger
Or used in play
But once they are used
They are there to stay
Home truths, they tell me
Should always be said
But if they are hurtful
Surely they had best stay in your head
Or do you fire them regardless, other hearts to shred
Keep them in context, that is the trick
But if said in anger, context tends to split
Smashing the links between mind and the tongue
Peace it will end, as trouble is begun
'Eye?' Asked the Herdsman, to his well travelled Guest
'I?' He reacted, confused by the request
'Aye' said the Herdsman, offering a plate
'Ah' clanged the penny, in the traveller’s thought
To refuse would be an insult, so a small eye was sort
