trumple

trum·ple

[ˈtrump(ə)l]

verb

Destroy something virtuous:

"all integrity, hope, charity, love and honesty had been trumpled"

Crammed on a small boat,

scared, barely afloat,

foreign spongers, I hear grumbled;

Saying good riddance

to drowning kittens,

then charity has been trumpled

Deny climate change

as seasonal range,

till all the ice caps have crumbled;

No care or respect

for those who come next

and all their hopes have been trumpled

Treat women like dirt,

don’t care who gets hurt,

gaslight those who you have fumbled;

Just another notch,

you grab by the crotch,

integrity has been trumpled

I see in your eyes

a tissue of lies,

endless even when you’re rumbled;

And still rednecks cheer

the rubbish they hear,

all honesty has been trumpled

And on we all go

and watch the shit show,

what is the chance you’ll be humbled?

Let’s hope for us all,

the good folks stand tall,

Pray peace and love’s not been trumpled

Great job of meeting the challenge. I still am not sure I fully understand the challenge, but will give it a try.

Hi Alice, it's just to make up a new word and then use it in a poem, if it's not your thing how about treating us to some phrases local to you when you were growing up. If we left a door open, for example, Granpa would bellow 'Put wood in't oil.( ' oil, hoil hole)

I guess not a fan of ethics and basic decency being trumpled.
