Time in Motion

Time in Motion

The irreversible travelator of life

An illusion, a paradox, an impatient master

An essential everlasting tapestry

A ripe, precious, flying commodity

A healer, a grower but only relative

Unless you are relatively late

Before I had the inclination but no time

Now there is time but no inclination

Time measured once to be maximised

Now measured by what remains

Microwave pings, three minutes nearer the grave

Avoid new pastimes, let boredom eek it out

A lesson learned from the Aboriginals

Who it is said do not measure time

Makes appointments a struggle

Living life purely in the present

Prioritising dreamtime

Dreaming of life as a goldfish

Irrevocable train of event and consequence

In succession from future to past

All started with a Big Bang?

A theory championed by Auntie Jane, divorced

After a tryst with the Time and Motion Man

Showing off her productivity

Interesting, well thought out, love the different style to 'Sands of time', it reads in a way invites thought, and for me, that's what poetry does.

Only the Poet who wrote the poem can decide its worth is my belief, everyone else can either like it or not. I like your poetry very much Jarlath, and applaud your thoughts on newbies.
