Can there be anyone with less street cred?
What egghead can identify between
A Penny Red-brown and a Penny Red
Or differing profiles of a king or queen;
Who longs to find a rare Tyranian Plum
And travels miles to stamp collectors' fairs
Whilst probably still living with his mum
And chatting to his favourite teddy bears?
But street cred isn't all (which is as well)
For me, at least, it's not about the price
But how each travelled square's a tale to tell.
Collecting is a passion not a vice.
The poet painting scenes of love or rage
Is just arranging letters on a page.
I like it John
Ps I think as we are both Cornwall dwellors we have att least a smidgen of credibility
Wonderful and I'm with Martin on the last two lines - fabulous
Love the final couplet
Clever take on the challenge. Like the varied rhyming structure- probably there’s a fancy term for that!
