The Passage of Time by Val Bowden Tick, tock, tick, tock Our lives are ruled by time Passing slowly, passing quickly But still passing! The past is made out of time: Time spent, time wasted. Time used to shape the future: But still passing! Reflecting on life can bring joy: Events, meetings, successes. To look back on life we see time: But still passing! Could we but change what we see: Deeds, decisions, disappointments Nothing can alter time gone: But still passing! The present is made out of time: Time shaped, time planned By ourselves, for our lives : But still passing! The mirror of life is controlled By the way we reflect on time: Distorted, shaded, mutilated: But still passing! Past actions result in the present, The present is now, Now is the time to direct life: But still passing.
Immovable, solid, unshaken
The past is secure, it’s dead. Life is now, to be used: But still passing! Now is the past of the future, Learn from the lessons of life. Live, laugh, long for time: It’s forever passing!

Nice, I like the repeating line
