That Don’t Terrify Me

There are time that you must climb a tree

As a boy it was just meant to be

But that tree doesn’t terrify me

I’ll climb that tree again

There are times that this life is hard

They’re all dealing you a losing card

Yet I’m going to win every now and then

Shuffle that pack again

So I shake off all my trials and woe

Into the future, I have to go

But that future doesn’t terrify me

I’ll climb that tree again

Absolutely love this, the simplicity of the verse contrasts with the powerful determination. This a poem I wish I had written. Brilliant.
