Warning: Any mention of a real technical term is coincidental.
The colors of the sun and sky at sunset are like magic.
Explaining them can be enigmatic.
Give it a go; see if you can follow.
A low sun separates color waves like a prism or a rainbow.
Longer Red, Orange, and Yellow waves go through first, thus the orange glow.
ROY G. BIV minus the G. -- acronym for the order of colors of the visible
spectrum.
Some stars are green, but not our Sun.
Twilight -- the glow after sundown lasts much longer than sunsets.
Skies may appear pink and purple due to light scattering, optical illusions,
and water droplets.
Having read the magic of the many colors of sunset and skyglow…
Sunrises beat sunsets for beauty unless you can’t open your eyes before nine.
Sunrise in the countryside -- more stunning than a sunset in the city. Why?
Less light pollution -- a more vibrant display of colors in the morning sky.
Desert sunrises are more luminous -- less dust, pollution, and dew.
Sunrise or sunset on the horizon makes for a lovely unobstructed view.
Thanks for the kind words. I don't hold a candle to either of you. Still, I enjoy the process of writing poems and reading an listening to other poets work.
I love this, i love your style, the way you think, your words are so alive, so vibrant
Interesting, quirky and original and I learnt a lot of new stuff. Thank you Alice👍
