to protect the lives of man.
Body armour and helmets,
against invaders’ guns.
Instructed by a mad man,
to kill the mothers’ sons.
Parasols and palm trees,
to protect us from the sun.
Beach towels and sun cream,
enjoying a shot of rum.
First aid and body bags,
for a war no side can win.
Death and destruction,
where happy laughs had been.
