Snowflakes are Dancing

(Snowflakes are Dancing was a pioneering electronic music album which spent 17 weeks in the charts in 1975, featuring Isao Tomita playing Claude Debussy’s tone poems on Bob Moog's first synthesiser)

Snowflakes are dancing

as light as a feather

Unique and delightful

but never forever

Impermanent beauty

Fleeting impression

As moments of joy

turn to damp and depression

Three stars

separated by nations and oceans

Were somehow connected

By musical notions

A chromium carnival

treat for the ears

Exquisite, enduring,

the sound of the spheres

When snowflakes have drifted,

in wintry weather,

in sculptural glory

they’re stronger together

Great poem but Snowflakes are Dancing made as much sense as Dark Side of the Moon!

Every day is a school day for me on the poetswall. Had never heard of this so had a listen- for some reason took me back to watching The Clangers.
