Saying Nothing in a Something Kind of Way

Sun setting, day is ending.

Fortunes are lost and won.

Sun rising, organising.

Completing, what must be done.

Shadows diminish, nocturnal finish.

Bright lights, from which they run.

Mid-day heat and all retreat.

Seeking cover, one by one.

Zenith passed, what's first is last.

Round and round, forever spun.

Some achieving, some believing.

A better day, for one and all.

Ask a question, insurrection.

Keep your head down, just play ball.

An invitation ,of expectation.

What goes up, must surely fall.

Want affection and protection.

Listen for, your mother's call.

Then elation or cremation.

Destination for one and all.
