Resilience

Eight years what was my sin

To fight a battle I can not win

A sense of humour is a must

He'll see the weakness, he's got you sussed

Give him an inch,he'll take a mile

He'll stare you down, just look back and smile

He's good at dishing out the pain

He hits you hard, that's the name of the game

He'll get you when you're unaware

He'll cut you open, leave you bare

Say"is that all you've got my friend "

That really drives him round the bend

He wants to hear you plead "no more "

I'll raise no white flag, of that I'm sure

There are times when I might shed some tears but he knows for him I have no fears

What is to come will be here one day

While I still can I'm going to play

Live each day like it's the last

Hoist the mainsail up the mast

The future may be grim and dark

That doesn't mean I've got to loose my spark

It will come but soon enough

Life will get hard, it will be tough

But life will always find a way

Be thankful for each and every day

So next time that black dog makes you despair,

See the light of hope, its always there

Excellent work. We all have those dark days when it can get you down.. I have found that giving Parkinson’s a. name helps me because then I’ve got someone to blame. So I only ever refer to it as Cecil and then I have an actual adversary to confront .keep up the good work and stay strong.

I like that you don't name your adversary here
