Paving the Way

As I awoke this morning the chirping of the birds went through my skull like a dose.

The sun broke throught the curtins like a lazer beam, no obstructions

The clock was ticking loudly letting me know that there was no point having a lie in.

No excuses would be accepted so none proffered.

No queue for the shower so screams of agony were heard through the freezing trickling droplets.

Down to the kitchen where all surfaces where cleaned and fry ups were no where to be seen.

So duty called as the dogs waited impatiently for their walks.

With no conversation along the path, the walk more relaxing as a result.

Down the leafy lane we slowly went through umberella covered trees.

Surprised to find no little black bags for the dog mess, which is normally left.

Coming out of the confines of the green covered hideout

We approach the golden, sun kissed paddock, where I can see for miles.

No excuses to go further and keep enjoying the exercisises

A lovely description of a morning routine and that struggle to start the day.

You totally nailed that ‘morning struggle’ vibe—loved the mix of grumpiness dissolving into beauty! Keep writing, your style is so real and relatable!

Yes, I forgot to put 'challenge ' on it. I was trying to find an obstacle to going for a walk but nature and people 'cleared' the way.
