Outside the old school gate

A child stands bewildered

At what is going on

So much fun and laughter

But the child is having none.

It’s an international phenomenon

These meeting of the moms.

Outside the old school gates

They gather extra early

A chance for them to all catch up

And to talk about all things girly

An opportunity for laughter and some gossip too

Sharing favourite recipes

And what goes on behind the curtains

At number twenty two

The children now are whining, they’re wanting to go home

They want to use the bathroom, before Dad takes up his throne

Finally, goodbye’s are said

go home and get some rest

Happy mother’s, and miserable children

Outside of the old school gate.
