Man and boy

They say a picture paints a thousand words

Well this evokes just five

Five words which mean a lot to me

'It's good to be alive'

I'd walked that path a thousand times

I'd walked as man and boy

It was where I'd learnt to ride my bike

That was my favourite toy

It was where I'd had my first kiss

Where I had fallen in love

Where I had proposed to my sweetheart

As the leaves fell from above

Life came full circle

As I taught my son to ride

When we played hide and seek

I showed him the best place to hide

I lived through the seasons

In that pathway in the woods

It was my safe place

It always felt good

Nostalgia fills the picture frame

I am no longer in my prime

But as I gaze at the picture

The memories are all mine

Great images. Is this a Season poem intended for the November Challenge?
