I’m sure I’ve got some in the kitchen drawer,
amongst all the bric-a-brac,
It’s full of various odds and ends,
and assorted bits of tat.
Let’s see now, several different screwdrivers,
a pair of laces for my shoes,
a pair of tweezers and a pair of pliers,
a broken compass and an old kazoo.
A pack of triple AAA batteries
my trusty old Swiss Army knife,
an envelope containing keys for who knows what,
a passport photo of my wife.
Half a box of safety matches,
various chargers plugs and leads,
some of bicycle repair patches,
a broken bracelet with missing beads.
an old roll of film from some long lost event,
a skipping rope with one handle,
Instructions for a pop-up tent,
a six pack of tea light candles.
Information sheets on various medicinal drugs,
a worlds best Dad magnet that fell off the fridge,
a pack of two white bathroom plugs,
ticket stubs from various concerts and gigs
A packet of 13 amp fuses,
some pens, that no longer write,
a bag of washers and screws, no one will ever use,
some bits of an old kids bike.
Three pieces of a jigsaw puzzle,
some paperclips and an old comb,
a plectrum and an old cassette tape
with the title ".driving home”.
Several random playing cards ,
all from different packs,
oh here we are, a book of stamps ,
right at the very back, …..oh, it’s empty.
Kitchen drawers are like the Tardis, bigger on the inside
Yep, it's all in there. Very entertaining, thank you.
It's hard to believe that you haven't been secretly rifling through my kitchen drawer. Good job!
