Irresistible

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Cursing his stupidity, the unwary thief

writhes naked on the silken sheet,

trap-woven from cords of steel,

sticky as the spilled syrup on the kitchen floor

that had been so very tempting

Each twist and turn against the ties

send twitching tremors of terror

down the wire and into the dark

alerting her motionless, malevolent magnificence

She’s been waiting for days, weeks.

Patient in her monstrous beauty

No food or drink since her last late lover

Her dark and dead-pool eyes see little now

but oh, how she feels...

Unlike her prey she is not heartless

Irresistible venom whets her captivating smile

and with stunning speed, she makes her move

leaving him drained and empty

Desiccated by the beautiful cruel

Ahhh Welcome to the dark-side my Psychonaut-friend, a veritable feast of curio's & trinkets, each capable of sparking synapses into jumping-jacks on speeeeed!

Brilliant piece Uncle, love it!

Truly splendid, Martin! Gothic horror in miniature. One of your best, I feel...

Thank you John. That was definitely the vibe I was going for. It's just an everyday tale of a spider and a fly but with a touch of Edgar Allan Poe :-)
