A villanelle
How should I focus on this dance?
Spellbound by wizard at the keys,
as hands to arm, all face entrance.
So supple subtle fingers prance
as high brows raised, joint knuckles tease,
how should I focus on this dance?
Each phase, phrase, whirl whorl thumb askance.
with heft of hips, both flexing knees,
as hands to arm, all face entrance.
His eyes close, close to dream perchance,
with ease he floats, his notes to please;
How should I focus on this dance?
My sight, by glance at flowing stance,
at close of play raised graceful freeze
as hands to arm, all face entrance
Good fortune brought me to this chance,
as carpe diem, day to seize.
How should I focus on this dance
as hands to arm, all face entrance?
Excellent and as a lover all types of dancing I approve - thank you
Excellent piece, well played
Full of high notes!
All power to his fingers
as always Stephen, well constructed and a use of the english language that deserves more than one read. keep them coming
