I’m waiting for spring
She is starting to whisper to me
The buds lay tightly wrapped
But the ground, she is warming
There’s nothing complicated about spring,
She does not worry what the next plant will do,
Nor wishes to outshine the others
She sleeps through winter
Then gives the best she can
Knowing all will change again soon.
There’s a lesson there for us
