I know her
I awoke, to see
Her standing over me,
Gentle blue eyes, a face full of wisdom and tales,
Soft grey hair trickling
Over her shoulders.
For a frozen moment in time,
We witnessed each other.
She winked at me.
I knew her !
My fingertips kiss my eyes
And she had vanished.
I thought a while….
I wondered where I knew her from.
Wincing as I rise from the clutches my bed,
Shuffle to the dressing table.
So begins the task.
To unravel the midnight tangles of my hair.
I pause, And I know now where….
For she was in the mirror ,
Smiling at me
My muse
