There are times in my life when I feel so very ill, There are times when I can’t keep my legs still. There are times when my body will not move a single inch, There are times when my muscles will not flinch! There are times when my face is fixed into a mask like glare, There are times when my eyes appear to stare. There are times when I cannot speak: my voice just disappears, There are times when my mind is filled with fears. There are times when people notice I am different from the rest, There are times when I feel I’m second best. There are times when I realise my life will never mend, There are times when I wish a phone call I could send. There are times when I don’t want to share my time with anyone, There are times when I’d love to have some fun. There are times when I seem to be detached and lacking care. There are times when other’s views I cannot share. There are times when I’m able to be part of normal life, There are times when I feel no stress or strife. There are times when the slowness and the shaking fades away, There are times when I have a better day. There are times when I feel so normal that it gives me hope, There are times when I feel that I can cope. There are times when I feel that PD’s hold will be decreased, There are times when I hope I’ll be released.
