Friends

Friends for over 40 years

That's a lifetime for some you know?

But we've got more gas in the tank, I think

Plenty more get togethers before we go.

We talk and talk and talk

We reminisce about days gone by

All the changes that occurred over the years

We don't think to ask why.

We shout over each others chat

Some put their hand up to speak

We can't even finish a sentence

Without someone else's attention to seek.

We've got history, you see

We know whats done it's the past

but its still fresh in the air

Young girls thinking they'd last.

Well we showed them all

We stood together and thats not all

The support and the love 's still there

When we need eachother put out that call.
