Spider
Silky spun trap
Oscillating violently
Can’t get out of that
Said the spider triumphantly
Tonight I’ll be fine dining
Eating of my victims corpse
Followed by a drink
Fly brain wine of course
Dreams
I live for dreams
In my head fantasies
When I wake
Life becomes real
Wars, famine, flood appeals
Let me dream
Until it’s all gone
Listen
Please listen to me
Said the garden
To the sky
Remove your clouds
So the sun can shine
Three lovely snippets of poetic observation. Well done
I like all three of your poems posted above. Well-constructed, entertaining, and to the point. All good features for readers with short attention spans.
Quirky and humorous- right up my street. I too dream of waking up and avoiding the groundhog day newscast of war, famine, flood, scandal, repeat.....
