Curse Word

Though I’m not a linguist

this project piqued my interest.

Create a new word or phrase and define it.

For years, I’ve desired to coin a new word

To replace the mother of all curse words, making my project absurd.

Before I look for a word to share.

let me research the subject with care.

Who curses the most? * Men more than women.

The Navy wins among the military.

In the UK, Wales is number one with Scotland a close second.

Worldwide, Russian, Czech, and Romanian speaking countries are most “cursive.”

Is it cultural or genetic? My next DNA report may come out

telling me that I’m genetically predisposed to being a total potty mouth.

Before I look for a word to share.

let me research the subject with care.

Curse words must have potential to offend,

crossing the line of a taboo subject.

Saying the word must give one an emotional release.

Swearing comes from the limbic system and basal ganglia in the brain.

Before I look for a word to share.

let me research the subject with care.

Full disclosure. *

People who have advanced Parkinson’s Disease are likely to swear.

Honestly, I won’t be able to go anywhere.

Hey, basal ganglia is the site where Parkinson’s originates.

Let’s try BANGLIA.

Basal + Anglia= Banglia

It may sound too scientific; It’s not offensive.

Did I sound more civil and smarter?

Did I get an emotional release?

Maybe after I stop laughing, please.

*The poet did not check for plagiarism or facts.
