Curse Word

Updated: Jan 26, 2023

Though I'm not a linquist

this project piqued my interest.

Create a new word or phrase and define it.

For years,I've wanted to coin a new word

to replace the mother of all curse words,

making this project absurd.

Before I look for a word to share,

let me research the subject with care.

Who curses the most? Men more than women.

The Navy among the military.

In the UK, Wales is the worst.

Wordwide, Russian-,Czech-, and Romanian-speaking countries are the most "cursive."

Is it cultural or genetic? My next DNA report may come out

noting that I'm genetically predisposed to being a potty mouth.

Before I look for a word to share,

let me research the subject with care.

Curse words must have potential to offend,

crossing the line of being taboo.

Saying them must give an emotional release.

Swearing comes from the limbic system and basal ganglia in the brain.

Before I look for a word to share,

let me research the subject with care.

People who have advanced PD are likely to swear.

Honesty,I won't be able to go anywhere.

Hey, basal ganglia is where swearing and PD begins.

Try BANGLIA! Banglia = basal + anglia

Say Banglia with feeling!

Did it sound too scientific? Was it offensive?

Did it make me sound more civil and smarter?

Did it give me an emotional release?

Can I tell you after I stop laughing, please? *

I'm not sure but I am definitely adopting 'banglia'. I love it! Thank you Alice you have cheered me up no end.

I confess; I am the real Angeline Clementine. Does this "poem" fit in the "humorous" or"bawdy" category?
