Congratulations,
celebrations
join jingle, singing out for years;
it’s human rites, their marking times
that ring out bells, in spire.
Through breaking waters,
from berth to life,
a partnership with faith maybe,
for some a spouse or lifelong friend,
well-lived to death, expire.
With flags, cake candles,
balloons, bunting,
and puff to flutter, blow afloat,
like magic of a dragon’s breath,
the elements rôle on.
Awake when birth cries
all through the night,
a wake, as drinking for the dead,
and through the pilgrim journey path,
to celebrate, alert.
