Awash

This poem on 'Poetry Potion' had to include the words...

“Pollution Is A Dirty Word”  “Holy Water”  “Hold This For Me”

Pollution is a dirty word -

agreement right around the world,

though not in common meaning used

in commerce and environment.

The business, economic wealth

holds health beneath financial stealth;

their final will and testament

to future heirs, both scar and scare.

Green guardians, globe stewardship,

aware how vital water is,

campaign to stream our current thoughts

towards the filth that overflows

from sky to reign where rivers throw

their dirt throughout our oceans, seas.

Hold this for me, my family,

the tribes of earth which follow me

good grace, responsibility,

a planet of integrity.

The place we stand is holy ground -

with holy water sprinkled too.
