Another New Dawn

The sky was dark, as black as night It was 3am so I suppose that is right Then over Blyth, began to ensue A change in the world, we could now see a view

A Jaffa cake crushed, was how it begun Last clouds obscuring the dawn’s early sun Slowly but surely, as I lay on the bed The dark orange turned crimson The deepest of red

Clouds breaking up, angry sky starts to mellow The crimson just fades , eventually yellow Then it was gone, as fast as it came Typical of Blyth, it had started to rain
