Stygian shades wrap cruel fingers round my mind
malignant echoes heralding my doom
the howling of the children of the night
A bitter wind breathes hard among the trees
A roaring silence follows as I wind
down into the void of unwise sleep
A shadow stirring darkly in my room
A pressure weighing hard upon my chest
Warm breath that tingles moist upon my neck
I feel her presence as she feeds her need
Proximity, attention must be pressed
Demands that no devices can deflect
The monster that brings terror to my dreams
does not diminish with the morning light
Awake, afraid, distressed and drained I rise
She licks her lips, I hear her clicking tongue
as moisture glistens on her sharp white teeth
Red light of triumph flickers in her eyes
Loved this, especially the twist
