Terms of Use
Poets with Parkinson’s believe that art should be expressive and unrestricted. However, we also believe in consideration of other people’s feelings and that this takes precedent over free expression. Whilst we are happy for your poetry contributions to be challenging and thought provoking we would ask that they do not cause emotional harm or distress to others.
We would therefore request that:
-
your contributions are not obscene, harassing, libellous, slanderous, or otherwise objectionable (as determined by us)
-
your contributions do not ridicule, mock, disparage, intimidate, or abuse anyone
-
your contributions do not advocate violence in any form or threaten physical or sexual harm to another
-
your contributions do not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party
-
your contributions do not in any way promote harming minors
-
your contributions do not include any comments that are disparaging to any race, national origin, gender, sexual preference, or disability.
We would also ask that your contributions do not contain unsolicited or unauthorized advertising.
Plagiarism is dishonest and we request that you only submit entirely original work written by you. This includes any images used unless you have verified that they are not copyright protected, are royalty free, and you have the legal right to use them.
On occasion, Poets with Parkinson’s may support products produced by its members. We would ask that you do not use it for any commercial endeavours except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us. Request should be sent to team@poetswithparkinsons.com
We aim to create an environment that is free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and promotes dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all are recognised and valued. We encourage equality, diversity and inclusion. We ask our members to behave in a way that reflects this ethos.
Any use of the Site which violates these Terms of Use may result in, among other things, termination or suspension of your rights to use the Site and/or be a member of Poets with Parkinson’s.
The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Site.
We do not assert any ownership over your contributions. You retain full ownership of all of your contributions and any intellectual property rights, or other proprietary rights associated with your contributions. We are not liable for any statements or representations in your contributions. You are solely responsible for your contributions to the Site and you expressly agree to exonerate us from any and all responsibility and to refrain from any legal action against us regarding your contributions.
